- Founded in 1984 by Étienne ARNOULT (former honorary commissioner of the Judicial Police), the firm was specialized in solvency investigations. Over the years, it collaborated with major financial institutions, banks, and their real estate subsidiaries across France.
- Facing the success of its cases and the increasing demand for expertise due to the 1990 financial bubble that caused a steep decline in Paris real estate prices, lenders were prompted to conduct numerous financial investigations to recover debts and/or secure guarantees.
- It was in this context that, in 1992, the firm was acquired by Didier RAUCH, Étienne Arnoult’s son-in-law (with advanced training in management and significant responsibilities in major retail). Upon taking over, he created a specialized service for in-depth financial investigations, extending the firm’s reach both in France and internationally.
- In 1996, he sold his shares to the holding company AVERA, to create a group focused on business consulting and assistance.
Today, AVERA’s experts work in the field of intellectual property and corporate assets protection. A recognized specialist in unfair competition and employee disloyalty, AVERA has handled hundreds of litigations. - In 2003, the group established the TECHNAPOL subsidiary, specializing in digital investigations.
Today, its director Sébastien DAUMAS is listed among court-appointed experts by the Court of Appeal of Aix-en-Provence, intervening in civil and criminal jurisdictions. - In 2004, Cabinet Arnoult International acquired the company GIMAT, whose mission was “to assist in spotting certain types of misappropriation, especially through test purchases.” Today, GIMAT’s experts are engaged against shrinkage in the retail and supply chain fields. Made up of a team of around ten investigators, it operates on the whole French territory.
- In 2018, after 25 years at the head of the company, Didier RAUCH left his place to two of his closest collaborators, who became co-managers: Guillaume BASTIDE, in charge of the firm activities related to businesses, and Sandrine LAFFORGUE, in charge of the individual cases.

The founder’s word
Since 40 years, Cabinet Arnoult International improved its skills and know-how in the various fields in which it operates (family law, real estate, finance, anti-fraud efforts in retail and logistics industries, unfair competition, employee disloyalty) in and out of France.
The high quality of its services has been allowed by the recruitment of its collaborators (employees or not) whose professional and human qualities reach the goals i aimed for in 1992, since i succeeded Etienne ARNOULT (my father-in-law and founder of the firm).
Even if they are, with no exception, holders of the « Lead investigator » license delivered by the Panthéon Assas Paris II university, the adaptability they demonstrate everyday must be applauded.
Now recognized as a major player in defense rights alongside attorneys, baillifs and experts, this difficult profession underwent a true revolution year after year, particularly since the 1rst of May 2012, when the internal security law has been applied.
Year after year, Cabinet Arnoult International knew how to adapt its services, going from a more general firm to the creation of specialized departments which are managed by experienced lead investigators.
Proud of the work we’ve done so far and now 60 years old, it is with great emotion that i leave my director’s chair to a new governance that i can blindly trust.
Now acting as a technical advisor, I dedicate myself to the fate of the AVERA GROUP.
